After years of mentoring students as a former teacher, I decided to follow my dream and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am person-centered in my counseling and allow clients to choose how to share their stories and work on the challenges they feel compelled to explore. I believe in the power of collaborative dialogue to help and to heal. Through this dialogue with each individual, I become a fellow traveler on their journey to claim a healthy and rewarding life.
As a yoga practitioner and former teacher of yoga philosophy, I bring mindfulness and thankfulness into my therapeutic exchanges. Connection with gratitude, an understanding of the power of language to heal or to hurt, and a deep appreciation of the human condition characterize my time with clients.
Reaching-out for help can be difficult, but in taking that first step, the client is well on the road to regaining resiliency and practicing wholeness. I have faith that though change can be difficult, it can also be transforming.
