About The Resilience Center of Houston

Welcome!

We believe that the best therapeutic outcomes happen when therapists have the freedom to practice at their absolute best. That is why our center is uniquely structured as a collaborative collective of independent, licensed mental health professionals.

What This Means for Your Care

Every therapist practicing under our umbrella operates as an autonomous, therapist, maintaining complete clinical freedom and choice in the specialized modalities, treatment lengths, and therapeutic approaches that best serve your unique goals. They answer directly to their professional ethics and to you, not to corporate quotas or clinical managers.

How We Started

The Resilience Center of Houston is owned and operated by a licensed clinician, not a faceless corporation. Founded in 2012 by Houston native, Dr. Jenny Burkholder, our practice is deeply committed to providing compassionate, ethical care for the best client outcomes.

The Role of Our Platform

While your therapist focuses entirely on your clinical care, The Resilience Center of Houston handles the rest. We serve as the administrative and operational hub for the providers with our dedicated team managing the well-appointed office spaces, secure EHR platform, credentialing, and streamlined billing logistics.

By taking the administrative headache off your therapist's plate, we ensure they can bring 100% of their energy, presence, and expertise to every session. When you work with a therapist at our Center, you get the best of both worlds, the deeply personalized care of a independently licensed practitioner, backed by the seamless, professional infrastructure of a premier practice community.

“Courage starts by showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”
