Many of us struggle with the fear of letting go...of something. It can be a frightening process and you may feel hopeless and helpless at times. However, the empowerment that can be gained by letting go and ridding yourself of negative thoughts can be truly life changing. It may be hard, but my role is to help you reach your personal goals.

Counseling is my second career. In the earlier part of my life, I earned an MBA and spent 10 years working in international sales and marketing. I was moved to begin a new career helping other people after counseling personally turned my life around and provided me with balance and peace.

I specialize in treating adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and anger with issues pertaining to life transitions, job anxiety, relationship difficulties, parental support, and family conflict. I am nationally certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can help uncover the underlying causes of worry and fear, teach relaxation, look at situations in new ways, and develop better coping and problem-solving skills. I also promote mindfulness & self-care and especially enjoy practicing Family Systems Therapy.

Change is possible, and there is comfort and hope in the therapeutic process. I welcome people of all backgrounds and cultures and aim to provide compassion, support, insight, and a safe place for you to successfully meet your unique goals.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
