Couples Counseling

I know how difficult it can be for individuals and families to ask for help, access quality mental health care and keep hope alive during challenging times. I aim to create a space that feels supportive and hopeful where clients feel heard, understood, comforted, and open to authentically process difficult feelings. Warm and empathic, I approach therapy by meeting clients where they are and honoring their unique perspectives, experiences and truths.

Together, we will identify realistic and actionable goals and work at a pace that is right for you. With a strengths-based approach, I often use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to support and coach clients on their journey towards improvement. Therapeutic tasks often include helping clients gain new insight on their current situation, connecting them to their personal values, and assisting them in making their lives align with their priorities. I also work with clients who are interested in integrating their faith into therapy in a way that is respectful, client-led, and belief driven.

My role as a psychotherapist is a privilege and a calling, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they seek healing and a better life.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#109690) with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University. I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental illness, emotional dysregulation, substance misuse, relationship issues, and coping with life’s stressors. My experience includes individual and family psychotherapy in residential treatment programs and psychiatric hospitals, advocacy for individuals and families with special needs, and assistance to children and families in foster and adoptive care settings. My vast volunteer work in the community has strengthened my dedication to service and advocacy, and my role as mother to two sons with significant mental health and developmental challenges has helped me understand these unique experiences.

Client Testimonial

"Such an amazing experience I've been having. I was very happy with the therapist that I got and she knows how to talk to me like
an equal but also how to help me set goals and follow through
with them. She has helped me so much I cannot tell you how
great this organization is and how much I would suggest it to
others. In fact I just referred one of my family members."
