I view therapy as a partnership where we work together, using your unique strengths and perspectives to unlock new possibilities for your life. It is through this collaborative process that transformation occurs, and I see myself as a guide and support for you as you navigate your journey.

I aim to be the calm port in the storm where you have a safe, trusting and nonjudgmental environment to heal and grow. I strive to listen deeply and respond with empathy, so you feel heard and supported in every step of the process. I also believe that each person is unique, and therefore, I work from a perspective that tailors my approach to fit your individual needs. I approach our relationship with the understanding that you are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you uncover insights, develop new skills, and empower you to take meaningful action. Together, we can work to create the changes you desire, while also respecting the complexity of your emotions and experiences.

Though the path to self-discovery and change can often feel challenging, that is truly where the beauty of the human experience dwells. I am honored to bear witness and hold space in your process.

LICENSE, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (91406) and hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans, where I received extensive training in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bowenian Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In addition to my academic background, I have spent two years helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, schizoaffective disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions in individual and group settings. I worked with college-aged individuals and the unique issues academia can bring and have extensive experience providing therapy for Black women and other marginalized groups. Throughout my career, I have maintained ongoing professional development through workshops, supervision, and advanced training, ensuring that I stay informed about the latest research and techniques in the field.

Client Testimonial

"Such an amazing experience I've been having. I was very happy with the therapist that I got and she knows how to talk to me like
an equal but also how to help me set goals and follow through
with them. She has helped me so much I cannot tell you how
great this organization is and how much I would suggest it to
others. In fact I just referred one of my family members."
