TREATMENT SPECIALTIES
I believe everyone has inherent worth, value, and a distinctive story to be lived and told. My experience has shown me that mental health struggles do not discriminate; young and old, employed and job-seeking, married and single, mental health issues can be crippling and can disrupt our daily functioning. I help people conquer the fear and internal narratives holding them back, so they can confidently step into a life of abundance and joy. Nurturing hope and empowering my clients to achieve mental and emotional healing is my passion, and I look forward to walking alongside you in your wellness journey.
Â
I approach therapy with both a scientific and empathic mind, utilizing research-based methods that honor the unique identity of each client. Drawing on my understanding of how neural pathways operate and psychologically influence a person’s mental health, I help clients develop effective coping skills to reach emotional stability. Together, we may explore past memories, traumas, core beliefs, emotions, and relationships that continue to cause distress.
Â
I integrate counseling theories that fit each client’s distinct situation, such as Adlerian, CBT, Gestalt, DBT, Exposure Therapy, and Existential Therapy and often explore topics like attachment and communication styles, grief stages, workplace burnout, forgiveness, and life-cycle changes. We will start with initial treatment goals, evaluate progress session-to-session, and adjust our plan as needed. Therapeutic tasks often include cognitive processing, reframing, experiential exercises, behavioral changes, and building distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and self-care. Taking the time to connect with each person’s story, I also find joy in helping couples and families restore fractured relationships, process traumas, improve communication breakdown, and navigate interpersonal conflict.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Â
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (#93405), offering therapy services in both English and Mandarin. After graduating with high honors from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, I gained experience at a behavioral health hospital as an outpatient therapist. There, I worked with multicultural populations and different age groups, providing patient assessments and individual and group therapy. My training stressed the administration of routine clinical reviews to monitor treatment goals and evaluate coping strategy efficacy.
Â
Personally, I practice mindfulness by jogging alongside nature and local wildlife. To decompress, I enjoy playing Chopin and Mozart on the piano, reading novels, and playing board games with family and friends.
