Life Transitions

You deserve support that truly honors your experience. As a therapist that has had to navigate my own difficult life experiences, I understand the need to feel seen, heard, and validated. I am passionate about helping individuals and strive to create an affirming, non-judgement space to build trust and gently explore old wounds and current life circumstances. You already have the capacity within you to heal. Allow me to act as a compassionate guide on your therapy journey, helping you access your strength and discover your innate value and resilience.

Operating within a cultural and trauma informed lens, I am LGBTQA+ affirming and use and empathetic, person-centered approach in my work. There is no direct path to healing and no one size fits all method to therapy, so I work with each individual to tailor interventions, often employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family System/parts work, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is an evidence-based practice used to relieve symptoms and heal the emotional distress that results from trauma and disturbing life experiences.

If you are ready to explore the past, make sense of present challenges, and design your own future, I am here to listen. Together, we will work to navigate the complexities of your life and improve your mental, emotional, and overall well-being.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#69501) in Texas and hold a dual Master’s in Social Work and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.  In school settings, community mental health, non-profits, and immigrant detention centers, I have gained more than 7 years of professional experience. My work has included individual and group counseling, mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases. As a first-generation Latina, I am the daughter of immigrants and bilingual in English and Spanish.
