Life may be overwhelming at times, and you may be confused as to what you need. I believe clients are the experts on themselves and am here to help you connect to your inner intelligence that knows how to heal. I employ a variety of evidence-based interventions in my work, always within a client-centered approach. I believe the therapy process is inherently collaborative and will sit with you through the yuck and muck and the big “ahas" along the way.
I am firmly invested in becoming a more competent therapist and have a personal commitment to creating a trusting space for everyone in the mental health community. No matter your gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religious affiliation, you are safe with me. I strive to maintain a respectful therapeutic environment for emotional support and healing to occur.
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (#80111) offering therapy in English and Spanish with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults individually and in a group therapy setting, and my formal training involves Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
