I am strongly committed to mental health and believe in its connection to overall wellness. Together, we will determine your current challenges and create a personalized plan for your treatment. Using a person-centered and strengths-based approach, I will empower you to steer the direction of our work. Therapy could be a new start for you, and I would be honored to build a therapeutic alliance that will guide you toward a better path.

Within a safe and nonjudgmental space, treatment will be an active process of skill-building and problem resolution. As our therapy relationship grows and we develop trust, I will challenge you to implement new behaviors for continued improvement. My regular feedback will support your ongoing learning, providing you a “mirror” through which you can clearly see your progress toward your goals.

We may use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the link between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors, identifying preexisting helpful patterns and discovering new, goal-aligned behaviors. To enhance interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution, I may use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which teaches concrete techniques you can use to better manage intense emotions and more confidently interact with those around you.

The decision to seek therapy is never any easy one, but I will encourage you throughout the process and champion your growth inside and outside of therapy.

LICENSE, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#56818) in Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Henderson State University and a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University. My extensive background in healthcare includes work in mental health, case management, hospice, dialysis, and administration. I have provided treatment to patients with diverse perspectives and backgrounds and have worked with adults, families and groups. As a veteran who has served in the military, I offer a unique viewpoint and am very comfortable engaging with the armed forces community.
