Career Counseling
You deserve support that helps you breathe easier, feel more present, and reconnect with what makes your life meaningful. When we feel we are not alone, change can feel less overwhelming and more attainable. As your therapist, I will act as an ally in working collaboratively towards both your short-term and long-term goals and improving your quality of life one small step at a time.
Â
We each deserve a safe space where we can be ourselves without apology, bias, or judgment. I have learned that building rapport and establishing trust in the early stages of counseling are essential to the success of our work, so I bring my own authenticity, empathy, and open mind to every session. Feeling heard, understood, and accepted in therapy can lead to hope, empowerment, and positive, enduring change.
Â
By focusing on the areas within your control, our sessions will strengthen your personal agency to help you make choices that align with your values and goals. Informed by Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy, I will work with you to foster self-discovery and self-compassion. On your own terms, you can safely confront difficult realities and reframe the stories you tell yourself about those experiences.

LICENSE, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Â
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston and spent 9 years as a Kindergarten teacher in Texas Title I schools. Following a new path into the mental health field, I earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. With more than 12 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (#73236) in Texas, I've had the opportunity to support individuals from all walks of life in outpatient behavioral treatment facilities, mental health community centers, and private practice.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling

What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
