Everyone, at one time or another, encounters a struggle that can feel insurmountable. We all deserve someone in our corner to help manage the ups and downs life throws at us, and I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to be that person. I love what I do and strive to convey that passion in each therapy session. To help you show up as your complete, authentic self, I provide a judgment-free space to support feelings of safety, belonging, and freedom.

Working with children and teens holds a special place in my heart, and I am committed to creating a positive first experience with therapy. I want my young clients to know that they are heard and believed and that their experience truly matters.

Every person brings their own perspective, past experiences, and different goals and needs to treatment. To respect the uniqueness of each client’s path, I take an eclectic counseling approach, incorporating Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and other useful modalities as needed. I would feel privileged to walk alongside you on this part of your life’s journey. If you only have one takeaway from therapy, I hope you feel deserving of love, care, and compassion.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (#93918) but this is not my first career. After spending 10 years in the Education field, I was called to find a profession that would bring me happiness and help my community. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake, obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University, and became certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. My experience includes providing individual therapy, group therapy, and play therapy to children, teens, and adults in a private practice setting.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
