Navigating life's challenges can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk this road alone. To foster hope and transformation, I work to create a brave, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where people can be their authentic selves. Meeting people where they are, I take a holistic and flexible approach to therapy, helping clients define personal goals, build self-compassion, and develop tools and resources for success.

I am certified in Cognitive Process Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, which aims to help individuals develop more balanced and accurate perspectives on past trauma. By providing skills and tools to challenge negative thinking patterns and replacing them with healthier thinking patterns, I have seen clients find relief for their PTSD symptoms and have a new outlook on themselves, their relationships, and the world. Beyond this approach, I enjoy bringing mindfulness techniques, meditation, psychoeducation, art, and journaling into the therapeutic space.

Change can be scary, but taking the first step toward reaching your goals can be empowering. It would be an honor to walk with you on your therapeutic journey for however long you need support.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#68346) in Texas and received my bachelor’s degree in social work from University of North Texas and my master’s degree in social work from University of Houston. Before private practice, I provided emotional support through individual and group counseling for adults from all walks of life who have experienced sexual trauma during childhood or adulthood, including risk assessment, crisis intervention, and community referral. Working at domestic violence and rape crisis centers have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to practice under a trauma-informed lens. As a sex positive, LGBTQIA+ and kink-allied therapist, I also offer specialized support and understanding for these communities.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
