It takes courage to show up in our lives for the things that are important to us. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive outlet to promote the growth we need to start showing up in the ways we want to. As your therapist, I will act as a guide to help you navigate the changes you would like to make for your mental health. From the start of services to your very last session, I am here to support and root for you. By deciding to take the first steps on this journey with me, you are choosing to show up. I see the courage in you already!
Â
What you have experienced and what you have been exposed to does not have to define you. I became a therapist to help others make sense of their minds, feel empowered to learn new skills, and to face the hard things life throws our way. Early in therapy, I prioritize building a strong rapport with my clients, creating a foundation for all the hard work ahead. A client’s willingness to open-up in therapy can be the key to success in treatment. When we are open to challenging our thoughts, trying new coping strategies, and making an effort to understand ourselves, healing can begin.
Â
My sessions are structured to promote collaboration and reflection, and can be described as culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and welcoming to all. In my work, I provide the space for clients to find out what is important to them, what they want to accomplish, and how to find the bravery to do so.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
Â
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#84927) in the state of Texas and received my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and my Masters of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Houston. Throughout my career in mental health, I have gained experience providing care for children, adolescents, adults, and families. During my work in private practice and community mental health settings, I developed a passion for supporting teenagers and young adults on the spectrum as well as individuals with a history of trauma.
It's hard to see your child suffering and feel powerless to help. Your child may struggle with anxiety, behavior, self-esteem, academics, or fitting in with peers. Maybe your child is recovering from a trauma, parental divorce, or death in the family. We have trained professionals here to help.
Types of Counseling

What will my first therapy session be like?
After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
