My passion purely comes from wanting to help others succeed and reach their goals. Regardless of what you may be facing, I believe you have the ability to thrive with the right support. I do not see a diagnosis as a label or the defining feature of who a somebody is. As your counselor, I trust in your capacity to grow and know that we can overcome your challenges together.

You can rest assured that I will always bring a nonjudgmental approach and optimistic outlook to your care and a calm energy to our sessions. I aim to be a consistent, uplifting presence in your life, creating a safe environment rooted in warmth and kindness. Together, we will work on building and restoring healthy habits that promote your inner peace.

Utilizing a strengths-based, solution-focused approach tailored to your unique needs, we will focus on realistic steps to address your concerns. Believing we all have the ability to unlock inner harmony, my practice focuses heavily on mindfulness, nervous system health, and peaceful stillness to relieve stress. I also welcome faith as a powerful anchor in treatment and am honored to support you wherever you may be in your spiritual journey. Our sessions provide a judgment-free space for your personal views and opinions, allowing you to lead the way.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from LeTourneau University, I became credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (#83535) in the state of Texas. I have enjoyed working in diverse treatment settings for more than 10 years, including community mental health, hospitals, and mental health clinics. I have provided one-on-one therapy to children and adults, have assisted the homeless population and military service members, and generally found it fulfilling to serve my community in any capacity. I also find it meaningful to support other healing professionals, managing 40 clinicians as a clinical supervisor at a local mental health clinic and becoming a certified Peer Support Supervisor.

What will my first therapy session be like?

After looking over your paperwork and informing you about confidentiality, you and your counselor will discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, and treatment goals. Your counselor will decide if they are the best clinician to meet your needs, and you will decide if your counselor is a comfortable fit.
