Treatment Specialties
It can be difficult to find balance when trying to juggle the many responsibilities and pressures life presents. Remember that you are not alone in feeling this way; it can be normal to feel overwhelmed and out of control sometimes. With courage and determination, you can work through these feelings and gain a greater sense of control over your life. I'm so glad you reached out for help! My passion is helping others, particularly young adults and adolescents, become more resilient and empowered to live fulfilling lives. I apply an eclectic, person-centered approach based on the belief that all people have the capacity for change. This approach aims to be non-judgmental and respectful of the client's autonomy, while
also providing a supportive, understanding environment that encourages growth. I have been trained in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Art Therapy to help my clients achieve their goals.
LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#72792), and my educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of North Texas and a Master of Arts degree from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Prior to counseling, I taught art in elementary schools and facilitated therapeutic art groups for children residing in area shelters. Since then, I have continued to help vulnerable populations, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, at-risk youth, and survivors of sexual abuse.
