Real healing and growth happen when we feel safe enough to be authentic and open, so building a trusting relationship where you feel seen, heard, and supported is always my first priority. Therapy is a partnership in which you bring your story, strengths, and hopes, and I bring tools, support, and perspective. Together, we explore what’s getting in the way of the life that you want and find ways to create lasting change.
My work is grounded in the belief that therapy is most powerful when it cares for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. My hope is to empower you to discover new possibilities, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and whole. Change is both an inward and outward process. On the inside, you may notice a new awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, and on the outside, you may take practical steps that help you live more in line with your values. Over time, these shifts can bring relief, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
My style is client-centered and trauma-informed, meaning your voice, pace, and comfort will always lead the way. I use evidence-based approaches, like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support you in living with more clarity and purpose. Above all, I strive to offer warmth, compassion, and encouragement as we navigate challenges together.
LICENSE, EDUCTAION, and EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#98772) in Texas with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, both from Central Michigan University. My path in counseling has taken me through many settings from work with teens and adults in outpatient therapy, foster care, and group programs to higher levels of care, such as Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP). Each of these experiences has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience and courage people carry, even when life feels overwhelming. Originally from Michigan and now settled in Texas, I bring a blend of Midwestern warmth and practical compassion into my work.
How long does therapy take?
Some clients may feel relief or meet their therapeutic goals in just a few sessions, while other clients may require months or years to reach psychological wellness. Those with severe mental health disorders may benefit from lifelong therapy support. You and your counselor will regularly examine your goals and evaluate your improvement. Your counselor will help you decide when it's the right time to terminate treatment, but it's always your decision to end therapy at any time for any reason.
