No one is exempt from life’s challenges, but you do not have to go through them alone. Rooted in a deep respect for the unique experiences of each person, I aim to walk alongside you as you gain greater self-awareness, develop coping skills, and discover strengths already within yourself.

The relationship between you and your therapist is vital to you achieving your goals, so we will build rapport grounded in trust and mutual respect. I see myself as a source of support and guidance, so you feel empowered to achieve positive, sustainable change. Therapy should be a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment.

While acknowledging that you are the expert of your own life, I bring my knowledge and clinical tools to meet you where you are. Strength-based and client-centered, I draw from a variety of approaches, including Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based practices, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe there is power in self-discovery and “doing the work” to heal. Therapy can be an adventure, and we will work together to challenge limiting beliefs, discover new ways of thinking, and gain better insight into what makes you, you. If you are ready to take that leap, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

LICENSE, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Texas (#107329), with over five years of experience providing psychosocial support to clients and families. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University at Albany and a Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University in New York, New York. My professional background includes working in foster care, hospitals, and psychiatric facilities, where I have honed my skills in psychotherapy. Leveraging my LCSW credentials, I specialize in empowering children, adolescents, and adults through refined therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique needs.

How long does therapy take?

Some clients may feel relief or meet their therapeutic goals in just a few sessions, while other clients may require months or years to reach psychological wellness. Those with severe mental health disorders may benefit from lifelong therapy support. You and your counselor will regularly examine your goals and evaluate your improvement. Your counselor will help you decide when it's the right time to terminate treatment, but it's always your decision to end therapy at any time for any reason.
