I believe therapy is a welcoming place for anyone to cultivate change within their lives. The process may feel scary or uncomfortable, so my most important goal is to create a warm and emotionally safe environment for sessions. Clients should feel at ease to share their perspective without judgment and be their most authentic selves. Our relationship will be one of genuine connection built on trust, mutual respect, and understanding.
Â
Taking a collaborative approach to your care, I will always include your voice in all your treatment decisions. Every client is unique, so I utilize a blend of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and The Gottman Method for couples and families looking to better communication, trust, and connection. Therapy is meant to be temporary, so we will focus on strengthening your autonomy by learning useful coping skills and building the confidence to navigate the challenges in your life. I will act as your training wheels, helping to support and guide you and allowing you to take over when you’re empowered to do so.
Â
We won’t just talk in therapy but will dive into the roots of your issues to understand their origins. Change can feel insurmountable at first, so I encourage my clients to focus on small steps towards their goals and celebrate even the smallest victories along the way. If you are ready to invest time and energy into yourself and are willing to put in hard work, you can change your life.
